Submission Terms & Disclaimers
By submitting cards to The Redmond Grading Company ("TRGC"), you agree to the following terms.
1.Grades are professional opinions
All grades, subgrades and authentication results are the opinion of TRGC's graders at the time of grading. They are not a guarantee of value, future grades, or how any other company would grade the card. Grading is subjective and grades may differ on resubmission.
2.Declared value
You must declare the fair market value of each card in Canadian dollars. Declared value determines your service tier and is the maximum amount TRGC will be liable for. If we determine a card's value materially exceeds the declared value or tier maximum, we may upgrade the service tier and invoice the difference before grading, or return the card ungraded.
3.Shipping to TRGC
You are responsible for safely packaging and insuring your cards while they travel to us. TRGC is not responsible for cards lost or damaged before we sign for and log them. We strongly recommend tracked, insured shipping with signature required.
4.Liability
TRGC's total liability for any card, for any reason, is limited to the lesser of its declared value or its fair market value in its pre-submission condition, and never more than the maximum declared value of the selected tier. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of anticipated profit.
5.Altered, counterfeit and ungradable cards
Cards found to be counterfeit, trimmed, recoloured, restored or otherwise altered will not receive a numeric grade. Cards too large, too thick or otherwise unsuitable for our holders may be returned ungraded. Grading fees are non-refundable in these cases because the full evaluation was performed.
6.Turnaround times
Turnaround estimates are business days beginning when your submission is received and logged in our facility. They are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Peak volume, missing information or unpaid invoices may cause delays.
7.Payment and taxes
All prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable GST/HST/PST is added at invoicing. Graded cards are returned only after the full invoice is paid. Unpaid submissions held more than 90 days after invoicing may be considered abandoned as permitted by applicable law.
8.Encapsulation
Cards are sealed in tamper-evident holders. Breaking, opening or altering a holder voids any TRGC guarantee for that card. Holders may show minor cosmetic marks from manufacturing or handling that do not affect the card.
9.Imaging and data
You grant TRGC permission to photograph your cards and to publish the images, grade and certification number in our public verification database and marketing. We do not publish your name or contact details. Personal information is handled in accordance with Canada's PIPEDA.
10.Return shipping
Graded cards are returned to the address on your submission by the return method you choose. Changes of address must be made in writing before the order ships. Risk of loss passes to you once the carrier accepts the package, subject to the insurance purchased.
11.No affiliation
TRGC is an independent Canadian company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PSA, Beckett, CGC, SGC, or any card manufacturer or game publisher. All third-party trademarks belong to their owners.
12.Changes and governing law
TRGC may update these terms; the version in effect when your submission is created applies to it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
